Reporting directly to the Director of Internal Audit, Asia Pacific and dotted line to the Country Finance Director the Country.
The Head IA is responsible for designing and developing Goodyear India internal audit strategy. Post which he will direct, manage or undertake a diverse range of operational and/or financial audits,. He will then ensure that audit findings translate into recommendations which are then duly and timely implemented.
The Head IA is also responsible for Internal Audit & Business Process Improvement, critical for Goodyear India continued success.
Principal Responsibilities:
Lead Internal audit function with responsibility for Risk Based Internal Audits, Fraud Investigations, Ethics & Compliance governance, and Audit Committee reporting.
Prepare Internal Audit Strategy for the India Operations and ensure smooth execution covering entire audit cycle from risk assessment, planning, execution, reporting, department budgeting etc.
Maintain key relationships with Regional and India senior leadership. Interact with internal and external stakeholders including independent Audit Committee.
Direct, manage or undertake a diverse range of operational and/or financial audits. Also ensure that audit findings translate into recommendations which are then duly and timely implemented.
Participate/Lead audits in other countries within APAC region, as and when necessary.
Conduct meetings to enable performance of duties & drive improve culture of Internal Control awareness throughout the country by interaction with Country Leadership Teams.
While keeping compliance and controls as key objectives, to work with key process owners to reduce unnecessary workload and delays associated with some of Goodyear India existing procedures.
Review & Validate IFC / SOX Documentation for India (process documentation, risks & control metrics, test plans, testing results, risks and gaps assessments)
Remediation testing & closure of SOX & Non-SOX control gaps in India & assist regional SOX Team in year-end assessment of open SOX Gaps.
Required Experience:
Minimum of 12 years of post-qualification experience in a large MNC or in a Recognized Consulting Firm in the field of Internal Controls, Internal Audit & SOX Compliance or other related Finance roles
Should have hands on experience of implementation of IFC / SOX Compliance in a Large MNC, preferably Manufacturing Unit.
Experience in manufacturing operations is a plus.
Strength in risk-based controls identification, process analysis and documentation, financial reporting, accounting, auditing and Information Systems by using standard audit techniques, preparing audit Programme, knowledge of Clause 49.
Education:
Minimum of a Chartered Accountant degree
An advanced certification on Internal Audit “Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)” would be a plus

Qualifications:
Ability to interact well with others including Goodyear associates, external auditors, and Audit Committee Members. Excellent English oral and written communication skills.
Able to analyze a situation quickly from different perspectives & create well-reasoned solutions.
Demonstrates a high level of understanding of all key aspects of Business Operations. Ethical and moral behavior; unquestionable integrity and character.
Thorough understanding of Indian as well as US Accounting Standards. Strong knowledge of Internal Controls, IFC and SOX
Understanding and practical skills in relevant systems (i.e. ERP system (SAP preferred), MS Office products (MS Word, Excel & Visio)
Experience in building a highly performing IA Team, developing talent for the organization as evidenced by advancement and success of team members. Motivates sub-ordinates to achieve results.
Consulting skills, including the ability to draw on the ideas of key team members and convert them into meaningful strategies and plans.
