Do you have an eye for detail? Well this position with the Utah Department of Health may be just what you are looking for. We are looking for the right person to review information on several data based programs to determine if an applicant can be cleared or denied to have direct patient access in Health Care Facilities. Read and interpret rules and regulations then apply that understanding to process the background clearances. The person in this position will also be a backup fingerprint person which includes reviewing information on forms, processing payment and live scan finger printing applicants. They will also process denial, approval and probation actions including generating letters to applicants and facilities and verbally explaining the action taken and the appeal process. Process all appeals including: entering data into the data base, tracking the appeal time frames, responding to applicants and a facilities questions, reviewing and summarizing appeal documentation and then making a recommendation, scheduling and running informal review (appeal) meetings with the Division Director, taking action based on the outcome of the informal review (probation, denial, temporary clearance etc), working closely with I.T. in regard to data base modifications. Be aware that salary ranges specified reflect a minimum starting and top of range dollar amount. Actual rate per hour will be determined by evaluation of qualifications and skills of the individual and the availability of monies through budget and grants or by following DHRM rule.
