Position : Human Resource Manager

Job Description : SUMMARYUnder limited supervision, and using independent judgement, is responsible for the day-to-day administration of policies and programs covering several, or all, of the following: Recruiting (recruiting process includes job advertisements, application process, selection, drug screen and background checks, etc.), training, employee relations, and labor relations and personnel research.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Recruitment and Selection – Leads new hire process including development of job descriptions; job advertising in various media (internet, recruiters & search firms, etc.); using independent discretion, reviews background, reference check and Profile results to determine employability (coaches General Managers on same); Administers/coordinates internal job posting program and writes job postings. Administers (for Corporate personnel), and oversees (for Branch and Manufacturing personnel), new hire orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals.
Maintains headcount budget through tracking of budgeted positions, vacancies and search method; reviews and maintains organizational charts and FTE tracking; tracks employee turnover and recommends action to lower turnover.
Training – Administers Performance Appraisal process (control point).
Working with the Director of Human Resources, develops HR training materials and trains
Managers and Supervisors. Coordinates training and training documentation as directed.
Maintains the Manager’s Desk Reference to HR Staffing, Personnel and Labor Relations – Works directly with the Director – HR to develop and maintains HR policies, procedures and the employee handbook; assists as needed in Labor negotiations and contract management. Records employee information such as personal data, attendance, performance reviews or evaluations, and termination date and reason. Examines employee files to answer inquiries and provides information to authorized persons. Compiles data from personnel records and prepares reports for governmental compliance. Performs exit interviews/surveys.
Legal and Compliance – Handles confidential legal documentation for both the Director of
Human Resources. Assists with litigation issues. Prepares reports and responds to request from governmental agencies i.e., EEOC, BLS, EDD (unemployment). Works with third-party administrators such as TALX UC Express.
Follows all company policies, procedures and safety rules.
Adhere to all company policies, procedures and safety rules as stated in the Employee Handbook and otherwise posted or communicated.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESProvided dotted-line direction to Branch management personnel regarding HR related process and procedures. No direct supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCEBachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or four to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Computer skills including Word,Excel, and HRIS.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 – $115,000.00 per year
