What you’ll be able to do:

This position is a Labor Relations opportunity supporting the New Model Programs Development Center (NMPDC). You will support Labor Relations for approximately 400 employees, both skilled and production employees. This position provides an excellent opportunity to learn all aspects of Human Resources and Labor Relations within the facility.
Maintain positive Union/Management relations.
Coordinate and assist in UAW contract negotiations and/or implementation and ongoing administration of the Master and Local Collective Bargaining Agreements.
Responsible of all aspects of hourly employee administration.
Investigate and prepare responses to grievances.
Investigate violations of Company Rules, recommend/administer disciplinary action.
Responsible for administration of Representative Compensation.
Support salaried People Matters activities as required.
Coordinate hourly recruiting and hiring as required
Support all Health and Safety activities as required
Building Access coordinator Lead/Support

The minimum requirements we seek:
Bachelor’s Degree in HR or other business field of study
One or more years of Human Resources generalist experience (internship experience will be considered)

Our preferred requirements:
Master’s degree in HR or related field
Previous union contract negotiations experience
Experience in Labor Relations in a manufacturing environment (unionized is preferred) with demonstrated negotiations and conflict resolution capability
Experience working with the UAW or other labor union
Experience in Design Thinking and Agile
Attention to detail and knowledge of employee laws
Demonstrated experience in project management, change management and organizational development
Proven experience delivering human resources process improvement actions
Strong communications, interpersonal, leadership and computer skills
Demonstrated experience with delivering HR process improvement actions
Strong analytical, problem solving, and organization skills
Effective self-starter with multi-tasking experience
Ability to guide and influence at all levels
