Total Years of Experience 4 – 5 Relevant years of Experience 4 – 5 Mandatory Skills MS Office, XML Authoring tools, Content Management Systems Alternate Skills • Knowledge of any XML authoring tools and publishing tools (Jenkins) • Familiar with software development practices: defect or task tracking systems and source control (RTC or JIRA) • Organize product documentation, and defect fixes for each release • Knowledge of publishing and promoting content for product releases • Reviewing andediting skills (knowledge of any style guide) • Understanding of Translation process Good to have (Not Mandatory) GitHub, Jenkins Detailed Job Description Technical Writer role in Power User Technologies(PowerUT) team (PowerUT is our main team under which, we have AIX software, Hardware, and Virtualization sub-teams. This requirement is for the Virtualization sub-team) Description Work in an agile environment to develop technical documents such as User guides, Installation & configuration guides in PDF format and Knowledge Center content in HTM format. Desired Skills • XML authoring using Oxygen XML Author • Interface with SMEs to gather information to be added in documents • In depth knowledge of technical writing standards and guidelines; familiarity with MSTP and CMOS • Familiarity with DITA • Understanding of the concepts of version control and single sourcing • Good knowledge of technical English to be able to edit documents Location Bangalore
