Consultants are jointly responsible for the delivery of their own output, formally reporting in most cases to the Manager responsible for the team. They work to support more senior members of their team and their responsibilities include, but are not limited to, managing their own work in an administrative and consultative capacity, and as appropriate: basic liaison with clients, the preparation or drafting of applications and provision of advice through the use of precedent documents

CORE COMPETENCIES :

Client Service

Under direct supervision, responsible for assisting with case processing and / or providing administrative support to the team.
Day to day contact for corporate client and / or assignees under supervision of Supervisor or Associatie.
Builds knowledge of relevant client protocols and processes.
Focuses on client service and meeting client SLAs.
Communicates with client and assignee to confidentily understand required timings and preferences.
Learns procedural and processing requirements for the application types relevant to their role.
Meets assigned deadlines and communicates case progress / status / issues to Supervisor.
Demonstrates flexibility and initiative.
Establishes relationships with team members and other relevant stakeholders across their accounts.
Communicates with FDBL team members regarding case progression and document requirements.
Supports strong client relationships by displaying professionalism and efficiency in appropriate communications as directed by Supervisor.
Develops professional working relationship with FDBL teams.
Encouraged to develop an awareness of Fragomen’s position in the marketplace.
Encouraged to contribute ideas and / or suggestions for improvements.

Productivity, Accountability and Efficiency

Structures responsibilities to work towards a set filing and/or interview date.
Encouraged to look for ways to maximise revenue on their accounts.
Identifies additional required services from client requests.
Keeps attorney/supervisor aware of the progress of matters to manage expectations, and informs of conflicting priorities / requesting assistance as problems arise.
Maintains approx 85% case load, focused on most straightforward matters.
Troubleshoots and establishes case strategy with attorney/supervisor, ensuring work is reviewed and signed off at key benchmark stages.
Undertakes 1st review of documents and flags any issues to Supervisor / requests additional information as required.
Delegates and assigns tasks to Analysts.
Reviews documents drafted by coordinators.
Drafts correspondence to assist attorney/senior consultant.
Generates and prepares client reports.
Supports team on projects as necessary.
Follows firm procedures with respect to file maintenance, record keeping and use of firm’s systems including Fragomen Connect.
Regularly reviews WIP / billing reports and ensures billing is conducted in a timely and consistent manner.
Ensures all fees and other PINS have been added to Connect.
Builds knowledge of legislation, guidance and policy relevant to workload.
Communication

Generates clear, well-organized written work-product.
Delivers information effectively in a variety of written formats including reports, letters, memos, email, etc.

Good verbal communication, with ability to convey messages clearly.
Working to develop good presentation skills.
