In this role, you have the opportunity to
This exciting role is a great opportunity for an experienced Assistant Manager Import & Export Operation. You will be at the heart of DI Systems and will be executing Import & Export operation plans set up in ERP system to ensure On Time material availability at production line from ports. You will also initiate improvement projects to further improvement of import & export process. DI Systems is an important part of Philips, and delivers advanced solutions for health professionals to meet the needs of patients worldwide
You are responsible for
Day to Day operation
Creates a working environment that continuously improves the Health and Safety of workers, including
identification and management of occupational risk, provision
Manage the movement of products/equipment/materials in and/or out of the country in accordance with
organizational policy and procedure, and to comply with relevant local, country and international law and process
Plan and implement import/export strategy and activities consistent with overall aims and requirements of the
organization
Coordination with Custom House Agents for ensuring timely clearances and effective transport solutions at
reasonable costs
Interfacing with shipping agencies and freight forwarders for selection of vessels & conducting negotiations for
finalizing freight rates to optimize transportation costs & ensure damage free transit of goods
Supply chain co-ordination for Export & Merchant Trade activities
Experienced in handling break-bulk, project cargo, dangerous cargo etc.
Knowledge in import and export related accounting formalities & audit compliances
Obtaining duty free authorization / scripts from Director General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) under various schemes
of Foreign Trade Policy viz. EPCG, DEEC, Deemed export benefits
Handling preparation & maintenance of various import/export documents viz., contracts, agreements, fixture
notes with shipping lines, freight forwarders etc, as per the rules and regulations
Collaboration with all parties (Planning, Warehouse / Factory Operations team, Customer Service, Sales) to
ensure delivery of plan and visibility to all stake holders
Should possess good Analytical & Negotiation Skills. Should have complete knowledge of Contract finalization
with all channel partners like, Custom Brokers, Freight Forwarders, and Transport vendors
Liaising with internal & external stakeholders
SAP Cadence
Update / Maintain import export related Master data in SAP
Compliance
Eway Bill Processing
DG Goods Handling and 360 Reporting
Correct HSN declared in customs
Daily 6s Review and Maintenance
Participate in internal & external audit meet the compliance requirement
Actively participate & motivate team for Kaizen initiative
FEMA documentation part for non-confirming materialNo. Critical finding in ISO , EMS , EHS , PH & FDA audits
You are a part of
Within DI Systems, the Order-To-Cash process entails all the activities from receipt of customer order to delivery at hospital site. Within the Order-To-Cash process there are 5 key activities handled by 5 teams, namely: S&OP/Order desk, Planning & Execution Control, NPI Supply Chain Management, Operational Procurement and Physical Distribution. You will be part of the warehousing & Logistics team (6 people).
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experienceA diploma or Master Degree in Trade compliance managementAt least 8 to 10 years of meaningful working experience in import and export operation industry, preferable from medical industryYou are a good communicator with good stakeholder management skills (required)You have competencies in Master data management & stakeholders managementYou have the following behavior and character: customer-focused, team player, pro-active, make-it-happen attitude, flexible, persistent, empathic, able to build bridges.You can fluently communicate on different organizational levels in English
