Job Description : WESCO is seeking a Cloud Engineer. In this role you will performs both development and operational tasks to maintain application assets. You will work with developers, architects, and app teams facilitating operations, development, and testing functions by continuously automating and streamlining
Responsibilities:
Code, deploy, and support large scale, 100% serverless architectures, which will include:
Design and develop enhancements to applications when identified by the creation of new components
Design and develop automation when the opportunity arises
Design and build DevOps CI/CD pipelines
Prepare and present system documentation and analysis as well as write SQL queries to troubleshoot application problems.
Build, deploy, and source code maintenance of new versions of applications in the cloud hosting environment
Systems Administrator duties such as SSH into individual Linux servers to review logs and triage problems and leveraging monitoring solutions such as Splunk, New Relic, or other monitoring tools to support delivery teams in effectively debugging applications.
Set up Azure resources such as load-balancers, compute instances, and databases
Implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC)
Prepare and present technical presentations and system process documentation
Qualifications:
3-4 years experience
Bachelor’s degree required.
Licenses/Certificates/Designations in Azure Fundamentals, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), DevOps Engineer Expert, Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD) preferred
Experience with Microsoft Azure technologies and services such as Compute, Storage, Databases, API Management, Azure Logic Apps,Azure Functions
Knowledge of designing and building fully automated DevOps CI/CD pipelines
Experience using automation servers like Jenkins, GoCD, TravisCIetc.
Experience writing scripts to automate mundane tasks
Strong understanding of Linux/Unix + Windows
Databases understanding: NoSQL (DynamoDB, MongoDB), Relational (Oracle, MS SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL)
Experience in Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) concepts and implementation with Terraform
Experience implementing Policy-as-Code and event driven security in cloud environments
Experience designing, configuring, and deploying applications in Microsoft Azure
Understanding of complex applications, micro-services, and serverless use cases
Ability to define Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery pipelines using JSON or YAML and understand designing incremental promotion across environments
Strong understanding of Python/ Bash/PowerShell scripting
A working understanding of enterprise networking concepts like CIDR
Code, deploy, and support large scale enterprise-grade architecture
