Summary Description
The Inventory Control Specialist has the primary responsibility of maintaining accurate inventory levels, to ensures that optimal inventory is present and ready for use to facilitate on time delivery. This position also shares responsibility for providing product order support to DentalEZ Sales colleagues, internal and external customers via phone, email, and skype.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Set and ensure part locations are accurate to the oracle inventory control system.
Monitor production data to ensure the accurate recording of inventory transactions.
Review purchase orders to ensure the accurate addition of inventory items.
Assist in the establishment of reorder points, stocking levels.
Coordinate and conduct cycle counts.
Ensures the inventory areas are maintained to 5S lean standards.
Work with purchasing to ensure safety stock and min/max levels.
Develop and implement procedures for ensuring that adequate inventory levels are present.
Identifies and optimizes common inventory items.
Comes up with ways to dispose of obsolete items in the inventory.
Works with other teams including production, sales, shipping and purchasing.

Cost Accounting Duties:

Assist with accurate inventory transactions working with production personnel.
Ensure minimal inventory inaccuracy to avoid write-offs.
Coordinate the recognition and disposition of obsolete and discontinued inventory.

Customer Service Duties:

Serve as liaison between Manufacturing and Sales and/or Customer to ensure that customer requirements are communicated accurately and on a timely basis.
Provide accurate product information to customers via email and/or telephone
Maintain excellent customer service skills and continually refine and develop new customer service skills to ensure effective, efficient, friendly service.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required: Education and/or Experience:

Three (3) years in a manufacturing environment, preferably in inventory control and
Customer service experience in a manufacturing environment a plus.
High School Diploma or equivalent.

Language Skills:

Good communication skill, both written and oral.

Computer Skills:

Proficiency in using the personal computer, including Windows-based applications.
Experience with Oracle, SAP, or similar inventory control system a plus.

Reasoning Abilities:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.
Person must be resourceful and a self-starter.
Must have experience systematizing process flows for improved efficiency.
Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
Must be conscientious and detail minded.
Must be able to work in fast paced, quick changing atmosphere.
Resourceful and self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Authority

Responsible for proper organization of all inventory in the plant to 5S standards.
Authority to change inventory locations in Oracle.

Physical/Mental Demands:

Must be alert and have the ability to concentrate, use good judgement and analytical skills.
Operates with a sense of urgency.
Communicates in writing, verbally over the phone and in person with internal and external customers.
Answers the telephone in a professional manner.
Reads written information and requires the ability to understand conceptual material.
Must be able to count and perform basic mathematical calculations.
Use hands to type on standard computer keyboard.
Must be able to lift or move up to 25 lbs.
Required to move about facility to interact with employees.
Ability to operate hand carts and auto lift mechanisms.
