To ensure the school ICT infrastructure efficiently and effectively to support learning and the day to day operations of the school. To support staff in delivering amazing learning making effective use of technologies To provide training and support to all staff To have a positive impact on the work of the school.
Main Responsibilities:
Competencies:
Maintain a fully functional classroom and admin offices – Desktops, Avaya telephones, Printers, Chromebooks, iPads, Promethean Board / Projectors and Wi-Fi / network connection. Hands on experience Windows operating systems,Google Workspace, Office 365 and Mac OS. Creating necessary accounts during onboarding of staff and new admission of students. Providing first line technical support to staff and students, especially for learning and other academic purposes. To ensure that all incidents and service requests are logged appropriately on the Service Desk Management System. Assist teachers and students to set up a slideshow, speakers, projector screen for primary and secondary assembly or outdoor events. Installing and configuring hardware and software components to ensure usability. Repairing or replacing damaged hardware. Upgrading the entire system to enable compatible software on all computers. Installing and upgrading anti-virus software to ensure security at the user level. Performing test and evaluation of new software and hardware. Providing technical support, working hard to ensure all faults are detected and reported to the line manager. Maintain records/logs or repairs and fixes and maintenance schedule. Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems. Basic understanding of Windows server 2019 Roles and Services, Active Directory (Domain Controller), DNS, DHCP,Vlans, Hyper V, NAS backup, HP switches, CCTV and access control system, Print server and network security Fortigate Firewall Working extra hours on demand to ensure a time sensitive problem is solved. Excellent communication skills and command of the English language, in spoken and written form

General To account for all the IT equipment (software and hardware) at the school by maintaining a full inventory of assets and implementing systems to secure equipment.
To work with the Regional Head of ICT Manager in assisting with annual IT budgets. Forecasting ICT requirements for coming year including (but not limited to); hardware/software, network infrastructure, licensing and maintenance.
To provide feedback on up to date research and test modern technologies that could support improvement in the school, ensuring the systems in place are fit for purpose and offering the school best value.
Health and Safety Emphasizes the importance of safety in all areas of the curriculum, communicating to the pupils the importance of a responsible attitude towards personal safety, the safety of others and respect for The Aspen Heights British School’s property and equipment Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities Assist in implementing all policies and rules governing student life and conduct Ensure that, all the necessary health and safety rules and procedures are being followed Maintain an awareness of all the health and safety measures to be taken when in school
In addition, all staff are required to carry out any tasks required by the school or the regional office to facilitate the smooth day to day running of the school.

Minimum Educational Qualifications Required for the Role
Bachelor Degree in Information Technology
Minimum Years of Experience Required
3 years full time working experience

Special Skills and Abilities
Systems and Networks Managing the networks, hardware and software across the school Managing the wireless networks, considering the school’s needs and providing coverage in all the teaching and working spaces Managing the school’s IT security and fire walls
Managing and supporting the school’s management information system Engage
Setting up ICT systems and passwords etc. and providing training for staff Implementing virtual services and environments for hosting network servers and operating systems to ensure reducing hardware and running costs and improving maintenance tasks, performance and troubleshooting Managing and supporting the schools phone, email and internet
Security and Compliance Creating procedures and policies regarding the data backups and their recovery for the school. Defining disaster recovery strategy, documenting and testing Setting up the appropriate firewall systems and web filters at the school to facilitate safe internet access to the students Assisting the Regional Head of ICT to define ICT usage policy at the school including email policy, internet policy, acceptable use of ICT policy and hardware usage policy

To be on hand to support staff and students alike with any IT issues or support requirements that arise To coach, mentor and develop the skills of all staff as required To participate and support in lessons and support learning
