We are looking for a talented IT Support Specialist/Digital Marketing Specialist to join the Barco IT team to help with our technical environment and move our digital presence in a positive direction.
Overview
We are looking for a qualified IT Technician/Digital Marketing Specialist who will help us in developing online content, maintaining and continually building a few WordPress websites for various Barco endeavors, and assisting employees with various technical support. Technical assistance around the company will include many help desk based assistance from installing and maintaining computer systems and networks to helping “train” users of the systems to make appropriate and safe usage of the IT infrastructure.
A successful candidate for this position must have a thorough knowledge of computer software and hardware and a variety of internet applications, networks and operating systems. The ideal candidate will also have great troubleshooting abilities and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
Set up workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devices (routers, printers etc.)
Install and configure appropriate software and functions according to specifications
Audit all installed software to ensure updates are installed, and that outdated software is removed
Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems (repair or replace parts, debugging etc.)
Develop content for various websites all related to Pickup Trucks and their corporate uses
Maintain and develop several WordPress based sites
Work with software developers on connecting various internal systems to our various websites
Assist with all systems and internal software – Microsoft 365, Microsoft Dynamics, WordPress, Google Apps, the list goes on and on, but these are at the core of our systems.
Requirements and skills
Proven experience as a Digital Marketing Assistant/Specialist, Help Desk/IT Support/System Administrator or other relevant position(s)
Excellent diagnostic and problem solving skills
Excellent communication ability, proven technical/content writing skills
Outstanding organizational and time-management skills
In depth understanding of diverse computer systems and networks
Good knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles
Degree in IT, Digital Marketing, engineering or relevant field a strong advantage
Certification as IT Technician will be an advantage (e.g. CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional)
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics and/or WordPress will be a strong advantage
