Job Description : SUMMARY
Under immediate supervision performs routine work in support of laboratory daily operations such as sample receiving and custodian, interact with clients providing lab reports or other related inquiries, manage laboratory inventory supply room and reorder as needed.
**World Oil requires all new hires to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, unless they qualify for an accommodation.**
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Receive and log in external laboratory samples in preparation for analysis. Review sample and any attached documentation to assign an identification number and enter information into Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
· Prepare samples to be shipped to other laboratories when necessary.
· Responsible for inventory management and preparing orders for laboratory supplies, including purchase order requisition.
· Transfer completed samples to appropriate storage location and remove expired samples from the inventory.
· Responsible for maintaining the laboratory stock room clean and organized.
· Generate a daily sample status report from the LIMS and email to clients.
· Communicate and respond to laboratory inquiries from clients, sales group and inner company departments/staff.
· May assist laboratory personnel with the preparation and basic analysis of samples.
· General office duties including answering phones, copying, filling, e-mail etc.;
· Must be Proficient in use of personnel computer.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
H.S. Diploma or GED
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Must be Proficient in use of personnel computer, good organization and communication skills written and verbal, other duties as assigned.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to identify, read and measure materials.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Language Skills:
English (Spanish a plus)
