Job Description : CCMC has a seasonal, full time, Lake Attendant opening at Daybreak in South Jordan, UT! Great Summer job for students and applicants of all ages!

POSITION SUMMARY:
Fun seasonal position that interacts and educates Daybreak residents and guests about Oquirrh Lake’s rules and safety regulations. Attendants will patrol the lake and assist residents and guests with checking out various watercrafts at the Soda Row Beach Club. Attendants will also perform maintenance duties and various tasks around the lake while providing exceptional customer service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
· Observe and encourage compliance with posted lake rules and regulations
· Serve as an informational and educational resource for residents and lake visitors by answering questions, providing directions, and clarifying rules that apply to the lake and surrounding open space areas
· Patrol the lake with provided watercraft and bicycles
· Assist residents and guests with checking out Daybreak watercraft
· Provide first time lake users with instructions and help users launch safely
· Instruct patrons on proper use of lifejackets and safe behavior
· Engage in positive public interaction, educational activities, games, and promote events around the lake
· Clean and maintain designated areas around the lake and complete other tasks that need attention
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
· Excellent “people” skills. Positive and upbeat personality that enjoys working with people
· Represents Daybreak in a positive and professional manner
· Excellent verbal communication skills
· Ability to remain calm and friendly when interacting with residents and guests
· Ability to approach diverse situations and manage in an appropriate manner
· Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with residents, guests and staff
· Familiarity and knowledge of Oquirrh Lake and the Daybreak Community is desirable
· Experience or interest in outdoor education, natural resources, and/or recreation management is desirable
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
· Outdoor work environment
· Able to lift and carry up to 40lbs
PAY RATE: $13.00 – $14.00 Hour DOE
HOURS: 30 – 40 hours a week, May through September
Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
Pay: From $1.00 per hour
