Position : Lake County Fair Manager
Job Description : The Lake County Fair Board is accepting applications for:
Fair Manager
QUALIFICATIONS: Must possess a valid MT driver’s license; possess the ability to lift and/or move 50 pounds, this position can be physically demanding at times. Must be knowledgeable in the principles, safety precautions, and practices of operating a County Fair. Excellent customer service skills and communication skills. Knowledge of budgeting, strategic planning, program evaluation, development, and all aspects of employee management.
DUTIES: Attend all scheduled meetings related to fair management. Follow directions and orders of the Fair Board in all work and detail in connection with the operation of the Fair and all business directly related to the property and grounds of the fairgrounds Represent the Fair Board and the Lake County Fair at all times. Present all grievances/concerns relative to personnel or the public to the Fair Board. Hire and supervise seasonal Fair personnel, as directed by the Fair Board. Supervise and direct the Fair personnel. Communicate consistently and openly with the Fair Board. Financial planning; all aspects of fairgrounds management; all aspects of fair planning.
EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING: Management experience, including employee relations, budgeting, strategic planning, public interaction, maintenance, and event planning.
Hours: June, July, full-time (with overtime during the fair week), ending the week after the fair.
Wage: $15/hour
**This position will remain open until filled. Applications will be reviewed once per week until a successful applicant is selected.
