PURPOSES
The purpose of this position is to produce learning materials that invite all God’s children to follow Jesus Christ. This role works under the direction of the Presiding Bishopric to provide professional learning development support to all Church departments and areas (‘originators’) desiring to create internal- or external-facing learning related products and experiences in various formats and languages. The Learning Experience Designer 2 leads the design and development of high quality instructional materials to support the various product managers in the initiating departments across the Church.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for large-scale instructional related projects from beginning to end.
Develops instructional content and courses.
Together with project and product managers they set scopes, schedules, and budgets.
Works with project managers and product managers to identify learning and performance objectives.
Their deliverables are generally accomplished through project teams including writing, editing, visual design, and development.
Establishes learning strategies and designs instructional content.

QUALIFICATIONS

BA/BS and 8+ years experience designing and developing instructional content, or MS and 3+ years experience designing and developing instructional content.
Strong knowledge of Instructional Systems Design (ISD) process and methods.
Knowledge and experience with eLearning and media development tools.

WORTHINESS QUALIFICATION
Must be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and currently temple worthy.
