Main purpose of the Learning and Development Specialist role:
The Learning and Development Specialist is a full time role for a candidate who is driven by design and implementation of learning and development programs to support company goals. This position will comprehend the organizational goals by aligning training initiatives to support and drive high performance. This position requires a data driven, out of the box thinker who is able to continually develop processes surrounding developing internal stakeholders.
Major Responsibilities:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Manage and drive training programs which includes planning, implementation and evaluation of programs
Perform consultations to assess projects that should be initiated to further organizational development initiatives (i.e. performance management, DE&I initiatives, etc.)
Benchmark effectiveness of program initiatives
Analyze the short and long-term impact of specific training initiatives
Develop proposals and formal recommendations on learning content and implementation
Create reports and analysis of all L&D efforts which can include learning program surveys and feedback
Collaborate effectively with existing team member across all levels of the organization
Assist in identifying future training needs
Support the HR manager in driving program effectiveness by measuring and analyzing trainee performance, identifying program inconsistencies and deficiencies
Comprehend the organizational goals to aligns training initiatives to support and drive high performance
Support the HR Manager in driving overall talent management, employee engagement and recognition
Meet deadlines while managing multiple projects and initiatives
Complete ad-hoc tasks and assignments as directed by management

Must have a strong work ethic and motivation to learn

Must be able to work in a very collaborative, creative, fast-paced, and agile environment- while staying calm under pressure
Must be able and willing to lift and carry up to 10 lbs., perform frequent repetitive finger, hand and wrist motions, as well as bending, stooping, reaching, squatting, kneeling, pushing, and pulling
Must be able to sit for extended periods of time
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Human Resources, Business Administration or related field and/or equivalent work experience may be substituted for degree.
Excellent working knowledge PowerPoint and/or visualization tools (e.g. creating charts/graphs, telling compelling stories through use of visuals)
Excellent written and oral communication skills
