Position : Leasing Specialist
Job Description : We are looking for a Leasing Specialist to join our Westwood team at Silton Group. Silton Group is a privately owned and operated Property Management company serving the Westwood community for over 40 years. This position would operate at several of the 8 properties Silton Group owns and operates within blocks of each other in Westwood, totaling over 300 apartments.
*This position has a primary schedule of Monday – Friday 9am – 6pm, though some weekend scheduling will be required during the busy summer leasing season.**Essential Duties:
Responds to all prospect leads through Yardi’s CRM platform, both through phone calls and email responses
Conducts property and apartment tours both in-person and virtually
Guide prospective tenants through the leasing process from initial contact to lease signing
Collect documents and perform credit screening for prospective tenants
Respond to all prospective tenant inquiries and escalate issues to the Leasing Manager when appropriate
Required Qualifications:
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
Outgoing personality with positive phone etiquette
Basic proficiency in Windows & G-suite applications (Word, Excel, Google Docs, etc)
Ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize
Customer service mentality
Must be comfortable working on-site and alone for long stretches. Each Leasing Specialist is responsible for all the leasing for 1-2 properties, with no other regularly on-site employees
Bonus Skill Set: While not required, candidates with any combination of these are preferred
Prior leasing experience in Student Housing or Lease Up environments
Experience with Yardi’s CRM platform
Sales or Customer Service experience
Benefits:
Compensation: $18/hour plus commission on leases
