Job Description : Overview:
LOS ANGELES, CA – Lovely family in the West Adams neighborhood, with one 2.5-year-old son, looking for a reliable and competent FULL-TIME NANNY M-F, 40 hrs guaranteed to join their household! They are a same-sex couple who are both fun, hands-on moms dedicated to their sweet boy! One mom primarily works long hours outside of the home, and the other is currently looking to get back into working from home. They have a household/ personal assistant who works in their home office and is in and out of the house throughout the day. They are looking fo ra nanny who thrives both autonomously and as a team player! The hours are fluid, so must be completely flexible, reliable and able to fly by the seat of your pants/ work extra or odd hours as needed. Typically, the schedule will be something like Monday: 12:00pm – 6:00pm; Tuesday: 10:00am – 6:00pm; Wednesday: 12:00pm – 6:00pm; Thursday: 10:00am – 6:00pm; Friday: 12:00pm – 6:00pm. Pay is commensurate with experience $30-35/hr gross via payroll + PTO.

Ideally, this person is an expert at being able to grab and hold a toddler’s attention; to divert their son’s attention when having separation anxiety, etc. Someone who is fully in tune with him and his emotions is paramount. Must have your own reliable car to transport him to and from activities, gas & mileage reimbursed. MUST BE FULLY VACCINATED & BOOSTER (tdap and influenza as well). Anyone who is musically inclined and is a strong swimmer is preferred, they do have a pool. Their son has a strong speech delay, so someone with experience with children with speech delay or other developmental delays a plus.

They are looking for someone to create a happy, nurturing and stimulating environment for their son. You will be responsible for picking him up from school, on time, three days a week; driving Lorenzo to speech therapy or other activities as needed daily activities, including nap time, meals, walks, park playdates, trips to the zoo, museum visits, etc. You will work together with the parents to ensure cohesive support of child’s social, emotional, and speech development. Must be able to communicate in a confident, clear, direct manner with non-verbal 2.5 year old. Must be able to model emotional regulation, problem solving, and frustration tolerance. Must be willing to perform light household chores such as sweeping, cleaning dishes, doing child’s laundry and general tidying up. . Their nanny must be able to keep a schedule and always be on time. They are a fun, artsy household but they also value structure; they are looking for someone who can support this balance. They really want someone who takes initiative and pitches in whenever (on household chores) she finds herself with time. They would love someone who could be available outside the typical hours and who can travel with them if and when they do. They have one chihuahua and two cats, must love animals!

Qualifications:
BA/BS college degree | AA in related field of study

CPR/First Aid Certification (renew as needed)

Ability to make a one-year commitment unless applying for a temporary position

A passion for working with children

Two+ years childcare experience

Excellent work and personal references

U.S. driver’s license (this does not apply to NYC residents)

Complete Stop the Silence Training upon Membership

Fluent in English/Bilingual a plus

Competent swimmer

Non-smoker

Willing to go through extensive Background Check

Must be Live-Scanned and registered with Trustline if CA resident

Willingness to show proof of immunizations

No-cell phone driving signed guarantee

Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
