Job Description : MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
***$30.25 per hour***
Our Client has the immediate need for Five (5) Maintenance Technicians to join their team.
****THIS IS A UNION FACILITY, AND OFFERS A RETIREMENT PLAN AND FULLY FUNDED PENSION****
**** FACILITY RUNS ON A 2/2/3/3 SHIFT MODEL****
***6PM-6:30AM SHIFTS***
General Duties Include:

Adhere to safety, health, and environmental standards and policies by taking personal responsibility to prevent injury or illness from exposure to hazards. Maintain housekeeping by adhering to established site standards and by removing all maintenance-related parts and waste to ensure a safe and orderly job site.
Perform the proper lock-out/tag-out procedures on equipment in accordance with applicable standards to ensure zero energy state prior to commencing maintenance work and minimize health, safety, and environmental hazards to employees and the community.
Use and maintenance and measuring tools and equipment in accordance with manufacturers’ specifications and established safety policies to ensure safety and efficiency.
Handle all maintenance materials and parts in accordance with established standards and procedures to prevent damage to the parts and equipment.
Document maintenance activities using the facility’s maintenance management system and logs.
Performs maintenance of the wastewater and utilities systems as required. Preforms assigned general housekeeping duties.
Actively seek out opportunities to add value through the application of maintenance skills.
Preforms regular inspection activities on equipment to identify abnormalities and takes appropriate actions to return equipment to good operating condition.
Actively participate in improvement group activities sharing and utilizing knowledge to maximize the effectiveness of the group and its objectives.
Preform preventive and/or predictive maintenance according to the work plan to maximize mean time between failures.
Lubricate equipment in accordance with lubrication schedule and equipment specifications to ensure reliable performance and prevent damage.
Preform alignment checks on rotating equipment (e.g., pumps, fans blowers, turbines, gear boxes, compressors) in accordance with equipment specifications in order to ensure reliable performance and prevent damage.

The Ideal Candidate:

High school diploma or equivalent Required.
Ability to operate powered industrial vehicles.
Manufacturing experience.
Experience within a food/beverage environment is preferred
Must have the ability to work under pressure and potentially stressful conditions.
Must be self-motivated and a self-starter.
Ability to pass a skill qualification assessment

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.25 per hour
