In your role as an Accounting and Reporting Advisory (ARA) – Manager, you will participate in client proposals and oversee day-to-day operations of engagements. You’ll closely work with the team to tackle accounting, reporting and operational issues. You will leverage your various skillsets to be an agile contributor to the practice, and you will demonstrate and develop your capabilities in the following areas:
Key responsibilities:
Identify, prepare and participate in proposals for new clients and projects
Be active in the marketplace and build relationships in order to grow the business
Identify and lead integration of overseas resources to drive efficient execution
Develop, maintain and leverage internal contacts across Deloitte businesses
Be a trusted advisor to public and private clients to assist with accounting and financial reporting matters
Stay connected to market trends to think through future innovative solutions
Strengthen client relationships, liaise directly with clients to manage deliverables and deadlines and generate additional engagement opportunities through excellent quality, timely execution and a strategic approach to service delivery
Participate in strategic firm initiatives such as the development of written materials to support new service offerings, the development and delivery of training materials, and participation in firm eminence events.
Supervise, coach and mentor all levels of staff. Conduct performance reviews and contribute to performance feedback and training. Develop and communicate workplace culture and code of conduct
Provide technical accounting advice, prepare or review accounting memorandum and manage projects such as financial statements and accounting policies review, issuance of accounting commentary or opinion (on matters such as business combinations, acquisitions / divestments, financial instruments and consolidation), IFRS impact assessment and Hedge accounting.
Assist clients with the accounting and reporting aspects of transactions including acquisitions, equity, and debt etc.
Engaging in discussions with clients, other advisors and auditors in respect of transaction structure(s) and assisting in determining the accounting implications.
Assist clients in preparing for and completing audits, and liaising with the auditors
Working with other Deloitte service lines (such as Financial Advisory Services, Tax and Consulting) in delivering the accounting advisory workstream for multi-service line projects.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, with a concentration in Finance, Accounting or Economics and strong academic credentials
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Ability to prioritize tasks and work on multiple assignments
Demonstrated problem solving skills and strong communication skills
Fluent in both Arabic and English (reading, speaking, and writing)
8 years of public accounting or equivalent experience
4 years of experience in managing and supervising teams
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
Structuring Accounting
Technical accounting advisory experience
Corporate Treasury experience
CPA/CA/ACCA certification
Travel up to 50% (While up to 50% of travel is a requirement of the role, due to COVID-19, non-essential travel has been suspended until further notice.)
Experience in researching and clearly documenting accounting issues and applicable accounting standards
Ability to read complex documents, synthesize and summarize important facts
Ability to think creatively, problem solve and work independently on multiple engagements
Proven experience in managing client relationships and growing the business
Ability to manage and motivate teams with team members at all levels
Strong on-the-job training skills and a desire to teach
Experience working in a fast-paced, team environment
Good project and time management skills
Good writing skills and an ability to clearly document facts, issues and resolutions of complex accounting matters
Good presentation skills and an ability to explain complex issues clearly and succinctly
Prior experience in identifying, preparing and participating in proposals for new client and projects an advantage
Prior experience in financial reporting and SEC requirements of IPOs is an advantage
Knowledge of IFRS or other international accounting standards an advantage
Strong presence in the marketplace and ability to network and build lasting relationships
Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a virtual environment
