Job Description : Join a global professional services leader. We are committed to solving the world’s biggest challenges in the areas of water, energy and urbanization.
Working with the Regional Market Development Leader and the Market Leaders, this position offers the opportunity to work on a broad range of consulting projects across the Energy Sector. You will focus on developing business opportunities, building, and strengthening our Energy business; through the delivery of projects, technical leadership, coaching and mentoring our people whilst offering innovative solutions for our internal, existing and new clients across the local government and private sectors. Additionally you will;
Identify, evaluate, develop or acquire and close business opportunities in the Region.
Develop strong client relationships adding value for our clients, and enhancing existing client relationships.
Handle Energy projects both new and upgrades.
Manage and overview design work, with progressively increasing contribution to the project.
Collaborate with and manage project partners both internal and external, to establish and agree project baselines, manage changes and resolve issues.
Provide technical expertise; develop project team members, graduates and other professionals.
Contribute to bids, proposals and peer reviews.
Support an innovative and problem solving approach to consultancy, adding value for our clients and developing strong client relationships.
Support wider business development initiatives and raise the profile of GHD through high standards of project delivery, thought leadership and client networking.
Collaborate and build relationships with other GHD offices and teams.
What you will bring to the team:
Bachelors in Electrical Engineering or Economics.
10 years of broad experience within the Energy sector having a utility-consulting background and proficient with regulated monopoly businesses.
Experience in a multi-disciplined team in the bidding, clarification, negotiation and development up to financial close of Energy projects.
Knowledge of Energy Economics, Pricing and Policy .
Experience working directly or indirectly within the Energy Transmission product line .
Member of relevant professional body or association will be an advantage.
Good understanding of the commercial issues surrounding the operation of Energy stations.
Solid understanding of public and private sector.
Change management or business transformation skills an advantage
Demonstrate proficiency in accordance with project management and industry standards.
Commercially aware, with the ability to build excellent client relationships.
Excellent inter-personal and communication skills (oral and written).
Pro-active and self-motivated, with the desire to make a valuable contribution.
Collaborative and adaptable teammate.
Middle East experience and a working knowledge of design, international standards and construction practices specific to this region (considered favorably).
