Job Description : Medical Appeals/ Billing/Collections-Work From Home (LA Metro)
Compensation: Negotiable Based On Experience Employment type: full-time Telecommuting okay and encouraged
Medical Appeals/Billing/Collections-Seeking an experienced, aggressive, professional medical appealer/collector, someone with management experience a big plus and accounts receivable cleanups
Composing letters of appeals-PPOs/HMOs/Medi-Cal- Need extreme familiarity with appeals language and regulations- Working the accounts receivables- Addressing denied and underpaid EOBs- Investigating unpaid claims- Creating reports and spreadsheets for monthly reports.- Good customer service and communication skills required
QUALIFICATIONS: 5+ Years of Experience in Medical Billing, Medical Appeals/Collections-
Must have good knowledge of insurance companies and both in and out of network billing. A background in processing claims; review and preparation of claims for hard copy billing submission in the full revenue cycle. Knowledge and experience with insurance verifications/preauthorizations is also a big plus. Looking for an individual to work on all aspects of collections. Experience with PPOs, Medi-Cal, Medi-Cal Managed Care, Commercial HMOs, and with a strong knowledge of Medical Terminology, billing requirements, and ability to interpret EOBs. Candidate must be responsible, intelligent, organized, pleasant and punctual. Must also be familiar with OUT-OF-NETWORK BILLING.
Be able to address and resolve claim issues and denials in a very timely manner- Have ability to prioritize work and to handle multiple projects- Be very comfortable using computers and be able to learn our PM software- Maintain confidentiality at all times- Have the ability to work independently and as part of a team- Be detail oriented with good written and verbal skills- Contact patients with 3rd party payors to arrange settlement plans- Identify problems with delinquencies- Keeping accounts current and accurate- Adjudication of denied claims- Performs other assigned duties
