Job Description : Gateway Academy’s starting wage for residential mentors is $15.00 per hour. All mentors will receive an additional $1.00 boost through incremental pay increases within the first year of hire as follows:

3rd Month Following Month of Hire
6th Month Following Month of Hire
12th Month Following Month of Hire

Starting pay $15.00 per hour based upon related professional experience, plus a $1.00 first year boost
Job Responsibilities:
· Safety and supervision of youth.
· Strong communication skills.
· Provide youth with mentorship, life-skills, role modeling and instruction.
· Demonstrate healthy relationships and appropriate boundaries.
· Safely facilitate indoor and outdoor activities with sound judgment and initiative.
· Create a safe, fun, positive, and intentional learning atmosphere for students.
· Participate in a culture of giving and receiving feedback.
· Support the Gateway Team in all aspects of programming.
· Responsible driver.
· General maintenance of facilities.
· Timely attendance at staff meetings and shift change meetings.
· Professional conduct in dress, actions, language, and all communication.
**ELIGIBILITY FOR THIS POSITION REQUIRES THE PROSPECTIVE EMPLOYEE TO:
* Be at least 21 years old
* Be able to pass a background check
* Have a clean driving record
* Benefits: Waiting period may apply/only for Full-Time Employees
