Job Description : MTS Python developer with Postgres administration knowledge
In this role you will be playing an individual contributor role as a Customer Excellence engineer in ERA engineering team
Join a team of seasoned DBAs and excellent engineers in Era to help customers adopt our path defining solutions on DBaaS.
Engage with customers, partners, and support to provide world class software and support experience to end customers.
Troubleshoot, debug and provide fixes/solutions to complex customer issues in shortest possible time.
Identify enhancements in the products based on customer feedback. Prepare runbooks, scripts and documents to better equip support in dealing with customer issues.
Proactively configure and test new features in the product and develop a strong product understanding.
Requirements:
Good knowledge of Postgres and/or Oracle. Understanding of database configurations (single node and HA), patching, installation and troubleshooting is desirable.
Must be able to understand and debug complex customer database deployments.
Good knowledge and hands on coding and debugging experience in Python and/or Ansible.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with customer success oriented attitude.
Knowledge on backup products and Database as a Service solutions is a plus.
Knowledge of Postgres offerings on public clouds a big plus.
Can-do attitude while solving difficult problems
Comfortable working in a fast-moving agile environment
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related fields with 3-10 years of experience.
