Job Description : Your field of responsibility
An exciting Enterprise Architect position that spans the Network Security domain which is pivotal to the bank. We offer you the opportunity to modernize and spearhead the strategy and architecture for network security.
Your key responsibilities include – to develop consistent and high-quality service roadmaps and architectures, ensuring strategy alignment and oversight of standards and guidelines. You will work closely with the technical domain architects and engineers to develop and agree the target state and transitional states
You are responsible for the architectural oversight of all areas of Network Security – Network segregation (host based and appliance based firewalls), NAC, DDOS protection, web access controls, network security on cloud, etc. Key projects are network segregation across private cloud, legacy on-prem, and public cloud, FW rule automation and orchestration, NAC and the design and build of SASE in support of a Zero Trust Architecture
You have a deep understanding of Enterprise Architecture as well as solid partner management skills to drive consensus across multiple business divisions (you must be willing to challenge the status quo). You will drive Cloud initiatives in line with our Digitalization strategy, particularly in Azure – Azure FW, Azure WAN etc.
As a senior architect you will participate in architecture state definition (target/interim), technology evaluation and strategy decision, architecture reviews, as well as identification of improvement opportunities and architecture support for department program/projects
You will align and collaborate with our centralized IT Strategy and Architecture teams, as well as Business Divisions on dependencies across technical domains and service areas
You will increase the engagement of the architecture team, architecture community both within GCIO and within the divisions, actively engage in strategic projects and this will be ultimately reflected in increased customer engagement and drive higher value from the use of ESS services.

The Enterprise and Security Services (ESS) organization covers key Enterprise and Enabling Capabilities inc. Messaging, Middleware, Robotics, Networking & Automation, plus 6 key security fields: Data Protection and Application Security, Identity & Access Management, Cyber Security Services (including the SOC), Network Security and Physical Access. ESS works in partnership with the IT Risk organization to detect and protect against any security threats, handling compliance regulation and preventing data breaches.
You will collaborate with the Head of Network Security Architecture. This is an exciting technical leadership role where the successful candidate will have both the ability to roll-up his or her sleeves to manage a wide range of strategic and technology challenges.

Your skills and experience
To excel in this role, you should possess below:
Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Information Technology or related sciences field (alternatively provable equivalent education and practical experience in this domain) and preferably have a CCIE
You have outstanding understanding in Security Architecture
At least 8 to12 years of overall experience in an architecture role or a similar role (enterprise or domain architecture)
Good engineering experience with an outstanding understanding of the latest practices and trends in Enterprise, Enabling, Cyber and IT security, technologies and frameworks.
Experience in successful utilization and integration of enterprise workflow platforms a must
Profound knowledge of enterprise architecture practices, strategies, processes and methodologies, bringing a passion for architecture and software engineering excellence, Inc. experience in architecture modelling
Knowledge of Agile, Cloud, DevSecOps, Open Source and a programming language is of substantial advantage
Practical experience of driving architecture good practice and encouraging creative or forward-thinking in a traditional and modern IT environment
You have a demonstrable ability to quickly learn new skills, with excellent analytical ability helping you to act as a dedicated problem solver of complex issues
You have a positive personality and can-do attitude; you also have superb communication skills
You are open-minded, empathic and a phenomenal team-mate with a partnering approach and an enthusiastic and motivated personality, with demonstrated experience in solving complex challenges
You are intellectually curious and therefore remain abreast of new technologies and developments relating to technical products that might be used enterprise wide and software delivery methodologies
Your good interpersonal and multi-tasking and skills enable you to quickly gain trust and build up efficient relationships to collaborate with internal partners to drive design of global and regional initiatives/ programs forward
You demonstrate the ability to evidence implementation of a team culture, resulting of continuous improvement methodology across people, process and technology
Proficient in balancing business partner views and interests. Engaging senior leaders with different professional and cultural backgrounds in functional merits of Enterprise IT, including articulating business benefits in very tangible ways.
