Our Middle East operation is currently in a strong growth phase due to the significance of some of our projects. The Project Management team is also growing and as a result we are seeking a “Officer, Stakeholder Management” who will be supporting the infrastructure team to obtain all relevant design NOC’s. The successful candidate will join the GHD team, based in our Abu Dhabi, UAE office and will be reporting to the Leader – Project Management.
Your responsibilities include:
Undertaking liaison and managing approval’s process with Municipalities and all other related Authorities.
Providing timely advice to project team on the approvals process issues, procedures & solutions.
Coordinating with the project team to define and identify project deliverables, milestones, and objectives.
Identify and present the statutory process requirement for each project. This will include preparing presentations, flow charts and permitting road maps.
Identify, prepare & check the required list of documents for different submissions.
Prepare and follow up correspondences with Authorities and related departments.
Issuing project permits and required NOCs from relevant authorities.
Supporting the contractor in the implementation and handover of the project by providing all support in order to achieve project completion success.
What you will bring to the team:
Degree qualified with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in liaising with government authorities.
Experience is focused in Abu Dhabi but knowledge about Dubai requirements is required.
Familiar with standards and codes used by the local authorities.
Experience in dealing with authorities programs, systems & online submissions.
Ability to read and understand project drawings.
Excellent inter-personal and communication skills (oral and written Arabic).
Pro-active and self-motivated, with the desire to make a valuable contribution.
Collaborative and adaptable team player.
Middle East experience is a must working knowledge of design, international standards and construction practices specific to this region, will be considered favourably.
Fluency in both Arabic and English is required.
