Job Description : Deseret Biologicals is a wholesale distributor of homeopathic and nutritional products direct to practitioner. We are growing and are seeking an experienced director of operations to oversee daily activities and take control of the inventory management process by improving supplier relationships to appropriately meet demand and minimize costs. The right person will have a sharp business mind and proven success in operations, inventory and warehouse management, including developing relationships with suppliers to reduce inventory lead times and on time deliveries, managing a fulfillment team and handling special projects. As an ideal candidate, you’ll have a proven ability to develop and maintain an environment of trust, diversity, and inclusion within your team. Your ultimate responsibility is to increase our operational efficiency.
Job Responsibilities

Manage inventory supply and demand planning on individual product level
Develop relationships with suppliers to reduce inventory lead times and on time deliveries and ultimately reduce backorders
Propose strategies to reduce costs, minimize inventory investment, and improve procedures related to supply chain logistics
Oversee receiving deliveries, shipments and maintaining stock levels in ERP system
Improve inventory control procedures within approved regulatory framework to minimize shrinkage and optimize receiving times
Optimize operations staffing levels to appropriately meet demand
Report on inventory levels, supply chain progress, procedural efficiency and personnel issues to management
Manage operations employees to meet business goals and address personnel issues
Manage the recruitment and training of new inventory employees.
Work with regulatory and QA teams to ensure appropriate standard operating procedures are in place and followed by team members
Work with label suppliers to add bar codes to all products
Ability to work within ERP system and propose and implement cost effective solutions for inventory management and fulfillment issues
Manage facilities and propose solutions for using space efficiently or identifying new locations
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Qualifications and Skills

3-5+ years of experience in inventory management
Ability to optimize ERP system for inventory and operations management
Efficiency expert
Organizational and logistics skills
Strong attention to detail
Problem solving
Data analysis and ability to propose action plan based on data
Proactive critical thinking
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong leadership and management skills
Friendly and professional demeanor

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 – $120,000.00 per year
