RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure all salaried employees are paid timely & accurately.
Responsible for all Labour & Statutory compliance.
Import demographic and change files from HRIS system and adjust in payroll system as necessary pertaining to new hires, status changes and terminations.
Review, enter, and track various types of leaves (vacation, sick, maternity, parental) in our Workday HRIS and assist employees with leave of absence related policy & process.
Act as the main point of contact for all India Payroll and Compliance inquiries
Assist and participate in payroll and benefits onboarding presentation to new employees
Create, update, and maintain payroll process documentation to ensure business continuity
Review and audit paperwork (Joining documents, group benefits life beneficiary forms) and partner with HR and Total Rewards Team to ensure compliance.
Manage certain time bound processes and ensure validation of data to be accurate and truthful i.e. Investments declaration, Form 16s, Tax Returns, PF record etc.
Ensuring Employee Benefits including Employee reimbursements as per rules and regulations of income tax.
Verification & Reconciliation of monthly payroll JV & GLwith Finance.
Collaborate and assist in ongoing and future HR projects as needed for India
QUALIFICATIONS
Proven working experience as Payroll Specialist for 2-4 years with the full payroll cycle, including year-end tax forms & India specific payroll compliance.
Experience with Microsoft Office, with a minimum of intermediate level in Excel, Word & PowerPoint
Proficient in English (written and verbal).
Knowledge of HR systems and databases (experience in workday preferred).
Experience with Vendor management preferred.
Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
