Job Description : Role Purpose
Responsible for Buying Direct materials and supporting plant purchase activities
Key Responsibilities
Ensure delivery for Direct Material suppliers.
Ensure capacity for all DM commodities including long term.
Ensure RFQ, Quote, Negotiation & PO & procurement control as per company guidelines.
Update POs in ERP system based on any price changes.
Cost Saving projects & VA VE Projects – RFQ, Negotiation, PO issue, Project Management.
Support Regional Comm & Comm Proc on new supplier development till handing over to concerned deptt., Negotiation, Quality assurance
Support for supplier Long Term Contracts.
Budgetary preparation actions
Management reporting on weekly & monthly basis for concerned tasks/ KPI
Improve payment term with suppliers.
Any special projects from time to time.
Specific Functional Capabilities, Knowledge and Skills Required
Technically oriented – core commodity expertise for Forging, Steel, Machining, Painting, Bearing, Plastic blow moulding & Sheet Metal
Fluent in English, with an international mind-set
Experienced at working in an international matrix organisation
Results oriented with good written and oral communications skills, leadership, presentation skills and charisma
Proven ability in managing and influencing teams
Problem solving skills
