Job Description : Program Assistant- Day Program
Available positions located in: Orem and Springville
*Wage increase to $20 per hour effective March 16th*
Full-Time
TURN Community Services is a non-profit that works with individuals with developmental/intellectual disabilities, mild/moderate to severe. Along with the Program Coordinator, the assistant provides oversight of staffing, training and individual support in TURNs Day Programs. The individuals in the program need assistance with medications, developing job skills, social skills, communication, safety, recreation and leisure and various other skills to learn independence in their lives. The Program Assistant monitors, supervises, and participates in the development and implementation of Person-Centered, Behavior Support, and other support plans and curriculum for each individual, in pursuit of the individual’s outcomes and personal goals and well-being.
Qualifications:

A minimum of 6 months of work experience with individuals with disabilities; experience with intellectual disabilities and challenging behaviors will be given preference.
Own their own personal, reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, current motor vehicle insurance, and clean driving record.
Demonstrated organizational, prioritizing, and time management skills.
Problem-solving, leadership and teamwork experience.
Effective verbal and written communication and the ability to produce and review typed business letters, reports, and accurate numerical records.
Basic computer skills.
Effective personal stress management.
Completion of required training at TURN within 3 months of employment.
