Project Manager
Chicago Department of Aviation
Number of Positions: One (1)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Reviews design plans at the different stages of IT related construction projects (10%, 30%, 60%, 90%) and provide suggestions, comments, and edits.
Meets with third parties (Airlines, FAA, TSA, CBP) to coordinate and manage cross-functional projects.
Coordinates and administers CDA-wide initiatives and projects of a technical nature.
Additional duties may be required for this position.
Applicants with experience reviewing construction blueprints involving IT (fiber & copper routes, server rack & network diagrams, etc.) is encouraged to apply.
Location: Chicago Department of Aviation
10510 W. Zemke Road, Chicago
Shift: Monday – Friday
Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
THIS POSITION IS EXEMPT FROM THE CAREER SERVICE
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALFICATIONS: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science and Engineering Technology, plus five years of project management work experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
NOTE: Must be flexible to early and/or late meetings and occasional weekends.
NOTE: Must be flexible to travel to Midway Airport, based on operational needs.
NOTE: The candidates selected for hire must pass an airport background check and a
Security Threat Assessment.
NOTE: This position is required to work in inclement weather.
NOTE: This position requires a valid driver’s license at the time of hire.
SELECTION REQUIREMENTS: This position requires an applicant to successfully complete an interview which will include a written assessment. The interviewed candidate(s) possessing the qualifications best suited to fulfill the responsibilities of the position, based on the interview and written assessment, will be selected.
