Job Description : Who You’ll Work With
You will work with global Private Equity (PE) and Principal Investors (PI) practice team.
You will be based in our office in MCKC Gurgaon, as a core member of the global communications team for our PEPI practice. As one of the largest practices at the firm, the PEPI practice provides support to client teams serving private equity firms and institutional investors and their portfolio companies.
You will report to the regional and global Practice manager and Global Reach & Relevance (R&R) manager.
What You’ll Do
You will work in a global team to enhance our external reputation through world-class client events.
In this role, you will also work with client contacts (CRM) database management, media relations, social media and publishing across various channels as well as support on the production of client and internal practice events.
You will work closely with the practice management team, the communications team and key practice leaders. The core responsibilities for this role are focused on support for our events and client contact database but as priorities shift over time, may include some of the other areas listed, such as support for social media and media relations.
You will be responsible to support the internal and/or external communications activities of private equity practice; specific responsibilities may include (but are not limited to) helping in planning and executing a range of client events including forums, webinars, roundtables and provide onsite administrative support as needed at our major events (e.g., participant registration, room preparation, etc.). You will also manage the invitation process for major client events hosted alone and jointly with other organizations, using CRM or event management tools. You will also work with our graphics design teams to prepare collateral, including banners, invitation design, signage and program ads. You will maintain an active calendar of client events and external speeches and will track feedback on client introductions, press and social media coverage, etc.
You will maintain and update PE contact databases, including regular update from leadership contact book, scrubbing the information and working with CRM team to execute the updates. You will work with the CRM specialist team to bring in the best practices to client communications, including creating, developing, and executing e-mail campaigns. You will prepare the PEPI monthly client newsletters to disseminate our latest insight and publications. You will also assist with the maintenance of our client extranet and external websites
Publishing & content operations support
You will manage and maintain our PEPI content pipeline, including due dates, status tracking, and workflow, supporting a variety of publication channels including McKinsey.com, McKinsey Quarterly, and outside trade publications and journals. You will collaborate with McKinsey publishing, editors, web team and media services to coordinate productions and timing on our upcoming articles, videos and infographics. You will also perform quality and risk management reviews of proposed content for publication, practice syndication, and review process for company mentions. You will coordinate dissemination campaigns internal communications.
You will also prepare the PEPI internal “R&R” newsletters on our events and publications activities and provide ideas and enhancements on our newsletter communications. You will also explore new communications and social tools to help us elevate how we communicate internally. You will help update our leaders’ mckinsey.com, LinkedIn and Twitter profiles as needed and schedule/provide social media training. You will also build our PEPI practice’s social media presence on the McKinsey LinkedIn, and other platforms with curated content drawn from our PEPI initiatives, including use of LinkedIn Elevate.
Qualifications
MBA with 2+ years of relevant work experience in field on CRM, Communication management
Demonstrated high proficiency with database (Excel) and list management; CRM
Experience with event planning and basic understanding of social media, email and/or multi-media content development preferred
PR agency experience a plus
Ambitious with strong drive and a passion for excellence
Should have strong sense of ownership, entrepreneurship, innovation and energy
High level of drive, organization, and initiative; resourceful with an ability to work independently
Excellent project management skills and ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders
Strong writing skills

Distinctive written/verbal communication skills in English
