United Airlines is growing exponentially, and we are looking for a Recruiting Representative that will play a key role in attracting and engaging the industry’s top talent. In this role, you’ll work in a fast-paced environment providing support to our corporate recruitment team. You’ll use technology to coordinate complex interviews with key talent and you’ll also take the lead at ensuring our candidates have completed all background checks and clearances required for their start at United. You’ll be the face of United to our applicants during their interview process; a critical role for us here at United.
Job overview and responsibilities
Interview Support
Partners closely with recruiters, candidates, and managers to understand availability and calendar complex interviews with multiple stakeholders.
Ensure interviewers are prepared to provide a great experience for candidates; provide interview guides, prepare final interview schedules, and ensure each interviewer has the candidate’s most updated resume and any pertinent information needed.
Communicate clearly with hiring leaders, recruiters, and candidates around the status of interviews and clearances
Provide interview and applicant support at onsite career events
Candidate Onboarding
Launch the appropriate background check for each new hire that you support.
Partner closely with candidates and clinics to schedule drug screens.
Partner closely with our background and clearances team, drug abatement team and our background check vendor to ensure each candidate is fully cleared ahead of their start date.
Communicate promptly with candidates, managers and recruiters around any changes or delays.
Partner with our relocation consultants to process candidate relocations in line with company policy
Manage virtual and onsite I9 verifications as necessary.
Act as a resource to candidates throughout the interview and onboarding process, ensuring regular touchpoints and communication to maintain candidate engagement.
Maintain data integrity in all work processes to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations
Ensures confidentiality and security of applicant data
Process Excellence
Possess a continuous improvement mindset; establish and implement best practices for automation and efficiency throughout the interview process.
Take the lead at training new Talent Acquisition team members on interview and clearance processes.
Required
High School diploma/GED or equivalent
3 or more years of customer service, data entry, call center or related administrative experience
1 year or more staffing experience
Understanding of staffing, recruiting and operations practices, programs, and plans
Understanding of employment laws and regulations
Demonstrated good judgment and confidentiality
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a strong emphasis on customer service
Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced, highly team-oriented environment
Excellent time management, follow-through, and organizational skills
Ability to handle multiple priorities with a high degree of accuracy
Intermediate to advanced computer skills in Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet Explorer, and databases
Demonstrated leadership ability to coach and counsel other coordinators on best practices and recruiting processes
Ability to work on special projects, in addition to typical workload, with minimal supervision
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
Preferred
College degree
5 or more years HR experience
1 year or more supervisory/lead experience
Process Management skills
Adaptability
Experience using Taleo or other applicant tracking systems (i.e. iCIMS)
Experience using HRIS platforms (i.e. PeopleSoft and COMPAS)
