Position : Referral Specialist- $22/hour

Job Description : Summary:
Assist in monitoring utilization of medical services to assure cost effective use of medical resources through processing prior authorizations.

Job Responsibilities:

Initiate authorization requests submitted by providers for outpatient and inpatient services in accordance with the prior authorization list.
Answering providers phone calls and route to appropriate staff when needed.
Verify eligibility and benefits
Answer phone queues and process faxes within established standards
Data entry inputting authorizations into the system.

Education/Experience:

Medical front office experience and/or medical billing experience
High school diploma or equivalent.
Knowledge of medical terminology
ICD -10 experience
Computer Skills
Typing minimum 35 wpm
CPT code experience
2+ years of experience
