RESPONSIBILITIES
As a key member of the IT team, the scrum master is responsible for ensuring the team lives agile values and principles and follows the processed and practices that the team agreed to use.
Business understanding : Proactive to understand the business deeply, make sure can have smooth talk with the whole team regarding the user stories.
Agile process and continuous improvement : Discuss and define the agile process with the team and raise improvement recommendations according to the execution feedback to improve the organization agile maturity level.
Sprint Lifecycle facilitating: Facilitate the scrum events in the distributed team to improve the team’s productivity, such as backlog management, sprint preparation, sprint planning, daily scrum meeting, sprint review and sprint retrospective meeting.
Planning and following up : Conduct the team to do plans regarding the meetings, release management, follow up the plan to make sure the plan is well executed, and the actions are done with clear DOD.
Agile coach: Train team on Agile and Scrum knowledges, to make sure that all agile team members know agile methodology well.
Business team support: Support product owner/business analyst to prepare product requirements, make sure the product back logs are in a good quality and ready for development.
Technical team support: Support the technical team to clarify the unclear items, regarding the new requirements, changes, and bugs etc.
Conflicts resolving and risk management : Identify the conflicts or potential conflicts, resolving the conflicts and the blocks, to make sure the team is working in a collaborative and smooth way. Manage and escalate risks.
Influencing others: Able to influence others to drive the whole team to work on the same direction.
PROFILE
Must Have:
University graduate and bachelor’s degree or above in IT or related fields.
Good understanding on agile methodology and frameworks like Scrum, Kanban, etc.
Good knowledge about product backlog management, user story writing, point estimation, release plan, CI/CD, automation testing
Experience to be the SM role in a distributed team
Good documentation skills to generate and maintain different kinds of templates
Good analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in written and spoken English
Excellent communication and facilitation skills
Should Have:
Knowledge of software development methodology (waterfall, agile)
Familiar with popular tools, like Jira, Git and Confluence etc.
Self-motivated, ability to work independently and handle multi-task with priorities
Work with deadline and under pressure
Continuous improvement and excellence driven mindset

Good relationship building skills
