Scrum Master

Role Overview:

We have an exciting opportunity to join Sony Interactive Entertainment. We are seeking a Scrum Master within the Partner Developer Platform group. Our partner platform applications are utilized worldwide by content producers to interact and supply their content onto the PlayStation platform, including games, movies, music and more.

These are engineering scrum teams and leads from both the UK & US offices working in technical capacity on projects to maintain and improve our newly updated platforms and customer facing applications.

You will perform a typical scrum master role including facilitation of ceremonies i.e. daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, sprint planning, retrospective and sprint reviews
You will also participate in program office planning, reviews and inspect & adapt sessions.
In carrying out your role, you will be a key influencer for the adoption of agile delivery within the scrum teams, working with other Scrum Masters and members of other teams and leads, continually looking to improve ways of working. You will mentor team members on existing, new, or improved ways of working and establish working relationships with other teams.
Infrequent travel may be required.

Required Qualifications:

3+ years professional experience as a Scrum Master working with teams developing complex applications
Thrive in a high performing team environment, looking to share with and learn from other members of the team
Extensive experience using JIRA for Agile practices and bug tracking
Proven experience working with other Scrum Masters, Product Owners and other leads to increase the effectiveness of Scrum and other agile practices in the organization
Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written and passionate about healthy team culture and collaboration
Be methodical, analytical and have creativity that you bring to everything you do

Responsibilities:

Scrum Master for 2 engineering teams working on various projects
Facilitating scrum events and ceremonies
Guide team members to use Agile practices and values
Facilitate internal communication (discussions, decision making, and conflict resolution) and foster effective collaboration
Work with product owners to manage backlogs and new requests
Track and manage delivery dependencies between teams
Coordinate virtually with teams in locations such as US and UK
Ensure deliverables are up to quality standards at the end of each sprint
Guide development teams to higher scrum maturity
Help build a productive environment where team members ‘own’ the product and enjoy their own work
Causing change that increases the productivity of the scrum team
