Then we want to get to know you and find out if it’s a great fit!Job purposeThe Trimming Specialist will be specifically tasked with receiving the product and manicuring the flowers for proper appearance. In this role you will work to efficiently trim cannabis plants, while creating minimal waste, resulting in a high-quality product that is compliant and ready for sale or processing. This person will be responsible for maintaining and following cultivation procedures. Also responsible to properly record the weight of all product and mark it down for input. This is a seasonal position with the potential to stay in a permanent position.This position will require you to travel to Huntington, OR for certain operations.Duties and responsibilitiesBreakdown flowers from stem and stalk of plant to separate unusable waste from useable productTrack the amount of unusable waste for each plant/batchTrack the amount of usable by-products Demonstrate proficiency with weights, measurements, and mathAfter breakdown of plant, employee must identify and separate fan leaves, stems and sugar leaves on the flowerMust account for each by-product type processed off the flower; adding stems and fan leaves to “waste” for proper trackingMust exhibit competency in basic organizational, tracking and communication skillsMust be able to work well independently, as well as in a team settingMust be able to adapt to various strains, styles and types of marijuana they are trimming; adjusting their techniques to maintain a steady pace and quality.Must manage their time during work efficiently to meet goals while consistently producing quality productMust be able to follow basic instructions, so they can help maintain quality standards and production goalsAssure daily compliance with Company policies including but not limited to: state/local regulation compliance, security protocols, access protocols, dress code, and work schedulesMust be able to learn and use computer programs as requiredProficient in operating and maintaining trimming machinesMust maintain good personal hygiene while processing marijuanaQualificationsTrim experience preferredMust have accuracy and consistency while trimming and weighing productsMust be able to follow directions and learn different growing methodsDisplays personal drive, motivation, and perseverance to identify and fill needsMust be able to work effectively both independently and in a team settingMust be able to complete numerous manual labor task in a timely mannerCommunicates effectively and able to work with other staff membersmanage multiple demands through strong organizational skills, efficiency, and prioritizationAttention to detailAbility to be flexible in the workplace and work multiple positionsAbility to work as a team, and work well with othersMust have the ability to take and follow instructionsMust be honest, courteous, and respectful to fellow coworkers and superiors alikeAbility to communicate well via, telephone, text, email, or in personCommunicate well with managementMust be able to work some weekends and holidaysWorking conditions/ Physical RequirementsMust have the ability to reach at or below/above shoulder level on a continuous basisMust be able to work in an environment which requires both indoor and outdoor work while at times weather changes will occur (may be hot, cold, or windy)Must be able to handle somewhat stressful environment and maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude while dealing effectively with daily tasksAbility to stand or sit for long periods of time, walk, reach with hands and arms, as well as stooping, kneeling, crouching and climbingAbility to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds, often lift up to 25 pounds, and constantly lift up to 40 poundsAbility to see at close and distant ranges, as well as peripheral vision to notice safety hazardsAbility to do tedious work with hands, like using small trimming scissorsJob Types: Full-time, Part-timePay: From $14.00 per hourBenefits:Employee discountSchedule:8 hour shiftDay shiftMonday to FridayOvertimeAbility to commute/relocate:Ontario, OR: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)Application Question(s):Are you 21+ years of age?Education:High school or equivalent (Preferred)Experience:Product development: 1 year (Preferred)standard operating procedure: 1 year (Preferred)problem solving: 1 year (Preferred)License/Certification:Marijuana Workers Permit (Preferred)Work Location: Multiple Locations
