Position : Senior Manager – Accounting
Job Description : Job Scope includes:
Process management, regular interaction with team and ensure successful delivery of operations and metrics globally. Deep accounting knowledge on Core Accounting including Inter Company and Fixed assets and liaise with corporate team, local finance & controllers frequently as required. Having fair understanding of Controls and Governance processes and driving Global Account Reconciliation Policy and driving compliance using Blackline tool.
Detailed Roles and Responsibilities
Ensuring Internal Control guidance and education to business/functional personnel within the C&G Scoping:
Guiding team on planning and execution of the various aspects of Internal Controls activities within the Organization
Representing C&G Process in the Core Strategic discussions and disseminating & channelizing the requirements from the Controls standpoint.
Holding discussions with various Regional Controllers/ Corporate Policy Teams, Strategic and Operational Leaders.
Monitoring/Reviewing the SOD/DOA Advisory/Admin activities.
Driving Policies through Governance Activities
Discussing the Account Reconciliation Policy framework with various stakeholders.
Guiding the execution of the Policies through Admin Activities of Blackline, MJEV, SOD VIRSA etc
Monitors process evaluation status during evaluation periods & ensure evaluation effectively conducted
Advises and direct responses to all control queries from within the assigned areas
Fixed Assets / Lease CoE and Inter-Company Accounting:
Define process controls, review compliance standards.
Connect with stakeholders – Drive trainings, discussions & policy proposals, and act as Global Process Owner (GPO).
Provide guidance to Respective Team Manager/Lead and take care overall Team Accountability.
Ensure compliance with US GAAP and provide local GAAP related support and guidance to country teams, as and when required.
Team Engagement:
Ensuring appropriate Trainings are imparted to the team as per the needs on a timely basis. Planning/Taking part in Team Engagement Activities.
Strive for the team’s growth and development.
Qualifications & Attributes needed:
Preferably, Chartered Accountant with overall 9-12 years of experience, of which minimum 3-5 years of Team management experience.
Would have worked in the fields of Core Accounting, Controls and Managing some Global processes.
Versatility and capability to handle numerous tasks and challenges.
Good analytical skill and communication skills.
Must be open to work in shift needed to take care of Global Role.
