You will work on our flagship vSphere product, delivering industry-scale self-service datacenters on top of a virtualized fabric, and be responsible for realizing the strategically critical VMware Software-Defined Data Center (SDDC). We have multiple innovative charters within the team.The Content Management charter brings aggregation and sharing of content across multiple vCenters and external clouds to vSphere users. This enables consistency, compliance, efficiency and automation in deploying workloads at scale. The Transfer Service enables transferring bits into and out of vSphere installations and between clouds.

You will fully take ownership of all the features you implement from design, coding, testing, telemetry and necessary monitoring for supportability.
Required Skills 6 to 12 years of relevant industry experience
Hands on experience in one of the following languages: Java, C++, Python
Experience in building cloud-based services and delivering SaaS solutions
A proven foundation in computer science, with deep knowledge of data structures, algorithms, multi-threaded programming, and software design with strong analytical and debugging skills.
Deep understanding of using Spring, Tomcat, Maven preferred
Excellent problem-solving skills
Preferred Skills Experience participating in agile development is desirable
Open source community experience, containers, Kubernetes is a plus
Proficiency and experience with virtualization and application virtualization technologies in a data center environment is plus
