Position : Social Media Manager
Job Description : We are seeking a social media manager/coordinator who also has experience and proficiency with graphic design. The role of the social media coordinator would be to create, run, and manage social media campaigns on multiple platforms (especially Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, and TikTok), manage the day-to-day communication & engagement (direct messages, comments, etc.) necessary to run successful social profiles, and a familiarity with analytics tools and the ability to analyze data to show client’s areas of strengths and weaknesses. Another key aspect is an ability to assemble graphical assets to accompany textual posts across multiple social media platforms.
The ideal candidate would have the following traits:
A keen understanding of the social media environment, including trends & standards for each network, and an intuitive knowledge/understanding of what types of content are effective and appropriate to target different audiences
Ability and willingness to respond rapidly to messages and reply to comments using the appropriate tone & “voice” of each social profile
An understanding of social media design trends and proficiency with graphic design tools to take advantage of those trends and create graphics to accompany posts
An adept communicator & writer — the ability to professionally engage with users on social media, and to communicate with clients via email/phone
Proficiency with social media management software, especially Sprout Social
Daily tasks would include but not limited to:
Responding to direct messages, comments, and other user interactions — serving as the voice of our brands
Working with copywriters and strategic teams to create new post ideas and author posts
Work with scheduling tools, like Sprout Social, to schedule posts per a created content calendar
Evaluate social media profiles, identify areas for improvement and make recommendations
Track campaign progress using analytics tools, run reports, and be prepared to interface with the client
Explore other sites we can post or build relationships with
Keep up to date on new and rising technology to help our business grow
Must have extremely good knowledge of major social media platforms with excellent technical computer skills. WordPress is a plus, and/or any other CMS platforms.
The candidate should be able to take charge and make decisions with thought and rational behind them.
You will help us and our client’s business grow with your expertise and knowledge of how to get to the right person at the right time.
Preferred 2-3 years experience working in another agency for CPG campaigns.
