Position : Software Developer (ROR)
Job Description : As a Full Stack Developer design, develop, and implement new modules and APIs for the Onit App Builder and BillingPoint. Currently, we use Ruby on Rails, React, JavaScript, jQuery, ExtJS, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB. We are an agile software development shop and believe in automated testing.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement new modules and APIs for the Onit App Builder and BillingPoint
Plan, build and launch features for our products
Work closely with our designers and project management team to craft well thought out user experiences
Estimate development tasks and meet deadline
Automate test cases when needed
Mandatory Skills and Experience
4+ years of experience using current language(s) for web development is required.
Demonstrated proficiency in the languages listed:
Ruby on Rails
JavaScript
React
Experienced with PostgreSQL or Mongodb is HIGHLY preferred
Experienced in UI development
Demonstrated full cycle development leveraging Agile methodologies
Ability to work and develop in Mac/Linux environment
Backend development experience is AWESOME to have
Excellent communication skills
Must be a team player and should be able to work with diverse teams locally and globally
Desired Skills and Experience
Experience in resolving customer issues
Willingness to learn new technologies
Ability to master any technology, language, or development environment that we need in the future.
Education
Bachelor of Engineering in computer science/Software engineering or other similar equivalent disciplines in management or equivalent
