The position of Advanced Software Engineer is responsible for working with Honeywell Software Engineering teams in an Agile environment to coordinate design, develop (writing code), manage and/or maintain HCE’s Metrics management product. The person is responsible for low level design development of cloud native HCEwide Metrics management App which provides near real time metrics of all products, programs & resources which enables HCE TechOPS to monitor, track and take actions on product quality and developer productivity on daily basis.
Responsibility Participates in the SDLC activities related to the design, development and maintenance of the cloud native metrics management application suite. Need to analyze Metrics dashboard requirements given by HCE leadership Translating into epics and stories and develop features for HCE Metrics dashboard. Low level designing and development of application using Python, Influx DB & PostgreSQL. Low level design and development of User Interface design/development using Grafana, NodeJS, Power BI and Tableau technologies
Need to work with team in developing App which is getting hosted on Azure cloud ARO managed service. A passion for quality with a test-driven development approach and eye for creating automated test scripts Need to do end to end testing of application at all levels including non-functional testing
Do peer review of design and implementation fellow colleagues/ other team members for the improvement of the application.
You Must Have BTech/BE in Computer Science/Engineering. Minimum of 4 years’ of experience in software development including requirement analysis, object oriented design, implementation, testing and support Have experience in design and development of Applications using SOLID principles Min 3 years of Python development experience 2 to 3 years of experience in leveraging JIRA and Confluence API to build automation applications. Has experience in SQL and TSDB databases.
Experience in UI technologies like Grafana/ NodeJS/Power BI. Working knowledge of CI/CD Processes leveraging Bitbucket, Bamboo, Octopus. Experience working in an agile environment with full stack teams.
Requirement analysis and translate into features. Familiarity with code versioning tools like BitBucket. Team player that puts team first, willing to make the difficult decision and have the difficult conversation while providing clear technical recommendations to leadership that is best for the long term. Demonstrated ability to effectively establish and maintain working relationships across disciplines and across the organization good Communications skills, good team player and have good analytical capabilities
