Job Description : Position Summary:
We are seeking a business analyst in the Post trade area having 7-10 years of experience in financial domain. There are multiple applications across different instruments like FX, Rates, Credits etc. providing post trade capabilities like trade confirmation, allocations, netting etc. services for trades.
The successful candidate will be process oriented and have a thorough understanding of product development lifecycle. Prior experience in FX & derivatives, post trade and workflow analysis will be extremely beneficial. Passion to learn new concepts/ideas will be crucial.
The candidate will work independently or with other business analysts to deliver project changes. He/she will be required to interact closely with product owners, developers, and testers in across globe to ensure successful delivery of key changes.
Essential skills (Must have) Have experience as a proven business analyst in a financial service , preferred investment banking. An understanding of financial derivatives terms, trade life cycle. Strong working knowledge of requirements elicitation, structured analysis, stakeholder management, use case definition and other Business Analysis techniques Thorough understanding of the software development life cycle Understanding of different messaging formats like FIX, XML, JSON etc. Strong problem solving / analytical / critical thinking skills Excellent written and oral communication skills Good interpersonal skills and ability to manage stakeholder relationships
Supplementary skill set (Good to have) CFA certified FIX/FpML knowledge Experience with FX psot trading life cycle. Experience with a buy side or sell side firm or as a vendor for one of these firms Awareness of or involvement in regulatory projects (MIFID, EMIR, SFTR, etc.)
Responsibilities Requirement gathering and Specification writing. Change requests are received from both internal and external sources, impact analysis and design must be factored into the process. Integration of new products and processes into platform/applications. Utilize analytical tools to develop workflow and process flow diagrams Assist testing teams with system and user acceptance testing Act as a platform SME for client queries support teams. Expedite issues and resolve bugs Assist identifying options for potential solutions, including assessment of technical and business suitability Facilitate implementation of new functionality through training sessions, demos, and the development of appropriate documentation (e.g. XML mapping specifications, user implementation guides, etc.) Not averse to technically hands-on tasks (XML) Attention to detail Highly focused on the ‘big picture’ in terms of continuous improvement Excellent written and oral communication skills Good interpersonal skills and ability to manage stakeholder relationships
