Job Description : The APC is an athlete accelerator where we enable Red Bull athletes to become truly outstanding performers. In your role as a Sports Scientist, you will perform assessments, testing, and sports training using evidence based researched methodologies that are individualized to reach maximal effect on Red Bull talent, and their success in their specific sporting field or performance related environment. The main task is to quantify the state of health and performance on a physiological level. Assess and discuss these results in the Interdisciplinary team and make recommendations to improve performance and health.

Program development:

Conduction of endurance diagnostics: performance diagnostics during assessments and testing on treadmill, ergometers and other sport specific devices, recording of metabolic, pulmonary and cardiovascular parameters during resting and active exhaustive environments.
Preparation and interpretation of the data: digital input of the data into the system and evaluation of the data. Preparation and assessment of the results for the trainer and the tested athlete
State of the art: evaluation of test methods and test procedures, optimization of the test equipment, orientation on sports science findings, prepare a separate database for standard values of different sports
Innovation: contribute to performance science-based investigations/projects/research in the field to support the needs of Red Bull athletes.
Communication: Integrating with a Team of medical personnel, bio-mechanists, and sport scientists. Formulating a data exchange with policies and procedures to further development data analysis including applied statistical inference & visualization
Laboratory analysis: recording of body composition, lung function, resting electrocardiogram, control of blood values. Preparation of the data for the medical assessment talk.

Knowledge of performance solutions within elite sports that brings change to individuals and groups of people.Strategic programing skills.Build long term innovative programs within the field of R&D.Able to share and educate colleagues in strategic planning and impactful processes on the Red Bull athletes.Ability to work, contribute and converse across the continuum of athlete performance including: strength & conditioning, medical and rehabilitation/physiotherapyAble to challenge the status quo in both the Red Bull performance group as well as challenge the larger picture of the organization.Ability to travel 30-40 days per year or as needed
