The Area Solution Architect is a key role in Demand Generation for the Area providing focus on early stage innovation and design. This role is involved in Account planning with other Area roles and ensures that opportunities are developed in line with Microsoft strategy and Industry Solutions priorities. The Area Solution Architect provides technical innovation expertise predominantly, but not exclusively, during the 0-20% phase and guides sellers on potential Domain alignments. Mapped to a particular geography, and interacting deeply with the local sales organization as well as Area Leadership Teams to prioritize account focus, they will have an awareness of multiple solutions & offerings and be able to articulate what is possible and what is required to build and deploy solutions across industries.
The focus of the Area Solution Architect role is to Make the Market and drive Digital Transformation and Modernization Solutions with a deeper focus on early stage support with Area Sales to drive demand generation.
Key accountabilities include:
Identifying innovative technical solutions to digital business innovations.
Drive & Accelerate production-level Cloud Solutions in line with Customer and Microsoft strategy.
Make the Market with innovative Digital Transformation and Modernization projects.
Drive a positive Customer Experience by providing high quality delivery.
Deliver Business and Operational Excellence.
In all that you do, demonstrate Technical Leadership: Create Clarity, Generate Energy and Deliver Success.
Partner closely with Digital Advisors to drive innovative DT deals
Bring technical credibility and excitement to customer discussions
Bring expertise in the most innovative technologies from engineering to research to create new business capabilities
Capture learnings from engagements and contribute to global Industry Solutions IP-Innovation Winwires, Engagement Learnings and scaling IP
Be active in events in your priority industries expanding Microsoft’s brand and credibility

Drive solutions towards productive use at-scale.
Drive innovative solutions aligned to the MCS Strategy that can be used in different customer scenarios as well

Qualifications
Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field AND 6+ years experience in technology solutions, practice development, architecture, consulting, and/or technology domain (e.g., Security)
OR Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field AND 4+ years experience in technology solutions, practice development, architecture, consulting, and/or technology domain (e.g., Security)
OR equivalent experience.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field AND 8+ years experience in technology solutions, practice development, architecture, consulting, and/or technology domain (e.g., Security)
OR Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field AND 6+ years experience in technology solutions, practice development, architecture, consulting, and/or technology domain (e.g., Security)
OR equivalent experience.
4+ years technical sales experience.
