Job summary
About the Org: Alexa is the Amazon cloud service that powers Amazon Echo, Echo Dot, etc. and 3P devices designed around your voice. Our products need to meet remarkably high standards of quality, performance and reliability, operating around the clock on a massive scale. We believe voice is the most natural user interface for interacting with technology across many domains; we are inventing the future.

About the team: Alexa enabled AVS products are created by third party companies or individuals using the publicly available AVS SDK. Well established device manufacturers as well as hobbyists use this SDK to build diverse sets of products of varying complexity. A simple Raspberry device with basic Alexa component, an Alexa integrated iOS app, and a soundbar with multi-room music capability all fall under the AVS product umbrella. Giving such flexibility and ownership to developers, and allowing Alexa service communicate with a non-Amazon product client, however, comes with risk. We are the team that manages rapidly growing third party (3P) devices. If you are a curious, talented, detail-oriented and enthusiastic person who is passionate about quality and the new cutting-edge technology offered to customers, then this is the right team for you. The team drives the entire monitoring process for Alexa 3P devices, which is responsible to prevent any potential customer risk/threat, bad customer experience and maintain customer trust.

Job Description:
Support at the Amazon Alexa team is responsible for detecting and remediating risk items related to Security & Privacy, Policy Violation and Customer Trust in 3P products (devices and skills). They are custodians of the high-quality bar Amazon has for its digital offerings. They are excellent individual contributors capable of taking up tasks of test case execution from start to completion with minimal help. They would be responsible for understanding the product in detail, and updating the test case tool with test execution results.
