Your Opportunity:

As part of the team in India that owns end to end product development, from concept to feature roadmap, architecture, implementation, testing, documentation and their operations, you will also develop tools for application monitoring, problem prediction, detection & diagnostics.

Your responsibilities:
Design, build, test and deploy cutting edge solutions at scale, impacting millions of customers worldwide
Interact with Walmart engineering teams across geographies to leverage expertise and contribute to the tech community
Engage with Product Management and Business to drive the agenda, set your priorities and deliver awesome products
Provide technical leadership, guidance and mentorship to a team of highly talented and motivated engineers.
Deploy and monitor products/solutions on Cloud platforms
Take business requirements and translate those into designs that meet current architectural criteria. Have an understanding of how the designs fit into the Sam’s Tech Merchandising ecosystem at a broad level

Your Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree with 10+ yrs. of experience in Computer Science or related field

Strong computer science fundamentals in algorithms, data structures, databases, operating systems, etc. Extensive experience building services using back-end technologies (Java, Spring)

Knowledge of databases like Oracle and NoSQL databases such as Cassandra/CosmosDB/MongoDB

Experience with Apache Kafka, Apache Storm

Experience in designing, solving problems in highly scalable and complex systems

Knowledge of standard tools for optimizing and testing code

Agile Methodologies experience

Knowledge and experience in cloud native platforms like Microsoft Azure

Nice to Have: Experience in UI technologies like Angular JS or React JS

You have an understanding of design and architecture patterns, along with translating those into production quality solutions

You understand modern patterns such as microservices, reactive (message/event based) designs, cloud native implementations along with CI/CD processes, as well as know how to translate business requirements and technology constraints into those

You possess the capability to foresee long term (3-5 year) needs of the company, and bake those into solutions to eliminate rework and allow the company to stay ahead of change.

You are self-driven and motivated with the desire to work in a fast-paced, results-driven agile environment with varied responsibilities.
