The Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center (INOPC) is a competence center with around 1500 skilled engineers who focus on tendering, engineering, planning, procurement, functional system testing, installation supervision and commissioning. However, over the last decade, it has evolved to become the largest engineering hub. The India Operations Centre is a key aspect of the Power Grids business Power Up transformation program. The INOPC team at Chennai supports Hitachi Energy’s units in more than 40 countries across a wide portfolio of all the four business units in Power Grid business. To date, the team has executed engineering and commissioning for projects in more than 80 countries.
Your responsibilities
Developing comprehensive content that meets Hitachi Energy’s high standards
Obtaining a deep understanding of the portfolio of Global Product Group (GPG) Switchgear and translate complex product information into simple, polished, and engaging content
Writing user-friendly content that presents our products and sets our sales teams up for success
Developing and maintaining databases of appropriate reference materials, including GPG messages, specific product documentation, Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs), design specifications, etc.
Evaluating current content and develop innovative approaches for improvement.
Working closely with the GPG Communications and Marketing teams to set priorities and expectations.
Research, outline, write and edit new and existing content, working closely with various stakeholders to understand project requirements
Independently gather information from subject matter experts to develop, organize, and prepare brochures, technical specifications, process documentation,
Drafting press releases, success stories, letters, scripts, invitations, and others.
To implement Hitachi Energy’s narrative across all new and existing materials.
Develop content in alternative media forms for maximum usability, with a consistent and cohesive voice across all documentation.

Your background
Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
2-4 years of industry experience as an effective technical writer.
Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex topics.
Previous experience creating exciting content and marketing materials for multiple audiences.
Superior written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
Experience working with engineering to improve user experience: design, UI, and help refine content and create visuals and diagrams for technical support content.
