Job Summary:
The Technical Writer will curate, design and facilitate learning solutions that align with the needs of our experienced team of sales and subject matter experts, create long-lasting changes that impact organizational growth. The role requires an individual who is knowledgeable in adult learning and instructional design strategies for performance-based outcomes, can innovate, move quickly, and not be constrained by how things have been done before. This position reports to the Sr. Manager Sales Training.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Partner with product leadership, product marketing, engineering teams, and cross-functional teams to deliver documentation and knowledge to our employees and customers
Create and manage Knowledge Base content, such as feature articles, demo videos, how-to, and tip sheets that will be made available to customers through our customer facing site, including working with product management in creating bids & proposals.
Create base documentation (content and features and delta docs) on core products and solutions and work with product, sales, and services to make that content available to the rest of the organization
Own content creation Training Modules, the enablement experience platform for communicating training of our product features to Employees, Customers, and Partners
Manage product knowledge for internal users housed in SharePoint, including solution and product sites and pages for specific program releases
Develop a deep understanding of user profiles and client needs to articulate technical solutions to common business problems
Minimum Job Requirements:
3-5 years technical writing experience developing relevant curriculum, or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Associate degree in Organizational Development, Education, Learning & Development, HR, Business, or equivalent preferred.
3+ years of relevant professional experience (Product Technical Writer, Marketing Writer, Quality Assurance Engineering, etc.)
Experience taking challenging, complex ideas and concepts and making them understandable and appealing to diverse audiences
Mix creativity with technical fluency to author engaging and inspiring text that delights and enlightens users without confusing them
Serve as the voice of our users when collaborating with engineering by implementing feedbacks and product improvements to the material created.
Exhibit flexibility and openness to adopt our style and processes to work product. Develop supported opinions and suggest improvements that benefit our collaborators and customers
Gracefully accept feedback, provide supported opinions and develop team relationships and workflow that lead to the best possible outcomes
Strong writing skills, ability to create technical product documentation and instructional materials
Ability to be a self-starter; demonstrating the ability to work independently and collaborate with multiple teams
Passionate about working in a small team and fast-moving entrepreneurial environment
