Job Description
The Test Engineer will evaluate and execute procedures for maintaining high standards of quality, and reliability for all software developed for mobile and online distribution. This position is responsible for developing and executing tests on new and existing products to ensure that they meet the requisite functional and technical compliance and maintain high overall product quality. Interface with other SG Digital staff across locations to resolve issues in a timely manner.
Essential Job Functions:Ensure that all software is working as intended through rigorous, detailed testing.Develop and execute test plans and test scripts for new and existing game themes and operating systems.Document and maintain the status of all problems in the bug tracking database.Communicate with other departments within SG Digital to prevent issues from arising and correct existing problems during the development cycle.Experience with Functional, Security, Load & Performance, Localization and Usability testing procedures.Work closely with the development team and assure timely release of high quality products.Provide feedback for continuous test improvement.Submit and track any product issues found during testing to ensure that they are resolved.
Reproduce issues when necessary in order to assist software development in resolving issues.
A “can do” attitude and out-of-the-box thinking will be prerequisites!
Key Tasks
Working with the Head of QA to act as system owner for any required new QA and test tools
Testing of Mobile Applications and related user interfaces and APIs
Defining levels of test coverage for specific Mobile deliverables, in line with product requirements and associated SLAs
Managing quality metrics across specific Mobile projects
Adherence to QA / QE best practice for specific Mobile projects
Ensuring structured feedback is provided to the development teams and to ensure the work is carried out in accordance with the agreed project schedule and quality requirements
Provision of accurate documentation for use by the customers, product teams and internal support
Production of test cases and associated documentation as required
Production of technical test harnesses and frameworks will be required

Qualifications
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent relevant experience
Required Experience:2+ years of professional software testing experience
Preferred Experience:Mobile app testing (iOS and/or Android) experience is a huge plus. HTML5 apps testing a plus.Experience with JIRA or an equivalent toolProduct development life cycle experience
Knowledge, Skills, & AbilitiesProficient understanding of software test methodologies/procedures and the overall product development lifecycleStrong verbal and written communication skillsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailEfficiently regulate and prioritize tasksMeet quick deadlines and deliver precise, effective results in a fast-paced work environmentGames testing experience is desirable but not mandatory.
